A master's job is
never done, it lives on through the ages.
The annual Installation of Officers was held on Friday evening, January 22nd, several musical numbers were recited and refreshments, dancing and visitation was enjoyed by all present.
In April, notice was given that in conjunction with Public Schools Week, a ceremony was going to be performed at Clovis High School and all Mason's and their families were asked to attend. In the early summer it appears that the new carpet we installed a couple of years back, became infested with moths and was in dire need of being sprayed. Motion was carried to eradicate the little pests. At this stated meeting it was the first time in our records that the Lodge was called form one degree to another. Until now they had opened and closed in the same degree on the same night, but at this meeting, they went to a lower degree and back again with only opening and closing Lodge once.
1943 was a very productive year for membership as was all of the years in war times. In World War II as in World War I the Lodges of the state were very busy doing degree work and trying to turn out Master Mason's before they were shipped out. There are some instance's where members got some of their degrees in other Lodges near the place they were stationed doing their basic training.
In the close of the year an offer was received for the three lots owned by the Lodge and was referred to the next year until further action could be decided. The offer was for $1000.00. Also it was motioned and carried to buy an additional $500.00 in War Bonds to help the efforts of the war.
